The drone will be able to carry a wide range of payloads, including observation and target acquisition systems, - TASS
A reconnaissance drone propelled from a container based on the principle of a hand-held grenade launcher was unveiled at a military and scientific conference outside Moscow on Thursday. The conference entitled: "Robotization of the Russian Armed Forces" is being held at the Patriot theme park in the Moscow Region. The system is designed to transmit real-time video information to the operator’s monitor. The drone provides for concealed and continuous air reconnaissance of the terrain and objectives within the area of responsibility of a combined arms force. According to the developers, the drone is prepared for launch within a period of 5 seconds to 3 minutes, depending on the time of preparing a flight program in cases when other similar drones require much more time for accomplishing the mission. The drone will be able to stay in the air for up to two hours at an altitude of up to 4 km, after which it will return to the home base. The drone will carry a very wide range of payloads, including observation and target acquisition systems.
